Chomp :: Dimensional Design — My Process

Here's an example of my design process when creating a dimensional pieces. I always start with sketches first, and then move into paper dummy prototypes to make sure my idea will translate into something logistically sound. Then I create the die lines and background art and prepare it all for production. In this case I was hand assembling each one, so I had to design around certain limitations for cost and logistics. There was a whole lot of printing, spray mounting, X-Acto scoring and general trickery involved in achieving the final result.

My Role :: Sketches, design, logistics, hand skills/production

Outcomes :: This physical, printed piece helped advertise the unveiling of the Chomp Food Truck Finder app. A tangible piece that people can hold and fiddle with can help boost audience engagement, even when the product is digital in nature.
